Lebaran di Sg Besar

for the past 24 years of my life, i've been celebrating raya in my kampung where all my relatives gather, preparing such ketupat, lepat, rendang, kuah kacang, our tradition dishes every raya.
a genuine place of generasi muda like us, the cousins since mbah (grandma) legacy. only twice or thrice of all i remembered having Eid in Shah Alam.

this is all daras n terunas left. the eldest, celebrated raya with husband n baby boy in Sarawak. :)

from the moment i could ride a bicycle, i remembered the guts of cycling a bicycle with my sister all around d kampung for the sake of collecting duit raya even they were cents only. be informed that time cents means huge amount. lol.

the tradition of baraan masih kuat d amalkan sampai sekarang. oh ye orang2 Jawa mmg amalkan tradisi ni (baraan) iaitu menziarah jiran tetangga pada raya pertama n kedua.
selepas bersalam salaman mohon maaf, sesi bergambar n makan2, acara d mulakan dgn berkumpul d rumah tok sidang, dan d susuli rumah2 seterusnya. time ni kanak2 sememangnya mengambil kesempatan ikut baraan utk kumpul duit raya.

my village is in Parit 5 Barat, Sg Besar, Selangor. some people don't know which part is Sg Besar in Selangor? well, for your information, Sg Besar is just near to the sempadan Selangor-Perak y'all!
if u're from Klang heading to Perak, u may reach Sg Besar before entering Perak.

while Parit 5, is the 5th parit from the pekan where my grandma house is located. since it is parit, u know, the whole parit means sepanjang jalan of about 1 km length. all houses along the length are going to be visited.
its up to tuan rumah nk hidang apa sepanjang baraan ni.
some houses serve only kuih raya n air. but when it comes to noon, ada yg hidang mkanan berat  macam mee jawa, laksa, mihun sup etc. seronok.

usually it only takes 5-10 mins visit for each house. after a while, seorang wakil dlm baraan (same person every baraan) akan laungkan, Allahumma sollia'la saidina Muhammad. d susuli dgn jawapan Sallallahu wassalamu a'laik from the crowd. means, take your last drop of drink, we're gonna move on to the next house. :)
macam tula cycling all over my raya life every year.

suasana bendang. on the left view, sawah bendang mostly sawah persendirian. on the right, the parit separates the houses u couldn't see on the right side.
wak (aunts) and bibik (also means aunts in Jawa) are vrooming! kick it, start it! we are all a family.

after one house. people walk out and put sandals on. moving to the next door.

kanak2 ceria je time raya, 1 hari penat xpe, duit masyuk :) si kuning2 ni my cousins. yes semangat kebaraanan mereka sgt d kagumi. some more, if they lost in crowds, its easy to detect them.

nah kau. sempat lagi berbisnes. i jual set kalung n gelang mutiara dari sabah. cantik. sape berminat contact i k!

pujaan hati, Aiman. of course, Aiman suke wat perangai pelik n ugly faces unconsciously. no doubt. the view would be greatly amazing if padi menghijau time raya ni kan.

raya tahun ni meriah, as always, bit stress, no duit raya. LOL! no kidding.
yg pastinya raya tahun depan hopefully lebih meriah, coz my sis will have Eid here in semenanjung, and foremost, me, gonna make the wish come true, get married before raya?
who knows? :) with all of your do'as, everything will become true..
insyaAllah..

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri kepada rakan2 Blog.
Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
:)
